2005 FIRST LEG - EUROPE SPRING TO AUTUMN:
High profile departure from London, down the Thames and out of the Thames Estuary. Channel crossing to the coast of Belgium, entering the canal system at Zeebrougge and by inland canals, rivers and lakes through Holland, Germany and Poland.
WINTER:
Wintering over to due icy rivers hindering journey. Restart April 2006.
2006 SECOND LEG - ASIA SPRING TO AUTUMN:Belarus and the Russian Federation via Yekaterinburg in the Urals Mountains. Travel by rivers and lake Baikel across Siberian Russia, finishing in Japan.
WINTER:
Traveling and photographing in Japan.
2007 THIRD LEG - THE PACIFIC SPRING TO AUTUMN:
From Japan, up the Kuril Islands to Kamchatka Peninsular, then via Aleutian Islands to Alaska and down to Vancouver.
Portrage to the Red River, then by river across Canada to the Great Lakes.
2008 FOURTH LEG - THE ATLANTIC SPRING TO AUTUMN:
Down the St Lawrence Seaway and cross to Greenland, thence to Iceland, the Faeroes, the Shetlands, thus making UK landfall in Scotland.
